Cleveland's West Side Market

IMG_1060.JPG

The West Side Market is my absolute favorite thing about Cleveland, OH. It is the top place I recommend people visit when they come to Cleveland. This unique open market was first open in 1912 and features food local food vendors in the Northeast Ohio area. In the main market building, you can find just about any type of bread, meat/poultry, cheese, seafood you want while enjoying a delicious hot crepe and sipping on coffee.

The other building is filled with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables where you can make friends with vendors and bargain for a good deal. Be careful not to pick the apples from the middle of the well organized pyramid - they can topple over and they may not be so happy with you!

Here I found some tangy starfruit...

Thankfully, this place is open year round (yes you can come visit when it's just 12 degrees and snowing)! Come and check it out - located in Ohio City! 1979 West 25th Street Cleveland, OH 44113.
